Hello friends! I’m back with another update. As you can see, it’s a refresher of my website.

I’ve been thinking about updating for quite a while and started the redesign a few months ago. I am not the greatest of graphic designers, but I feel like this look suits me. It also makes it a bit easier to show off my writing portfolio to potential freelance clients/employers. Because yes, I’m still searching for more freelance work and/or a part-time job. The writing industry is a bit rough at the moment. Or perhaps it’s just me. Either way, it hasn't been the easiest journey, but I'm hoping things will start looking up in the new year. In fact, I'm feeling pretty confident that some things are going to finally work out.

Either way, I hope you all enjoy looking around the new site. I’m also hard at work finishing up “Everyone Talks.” I just completed Chapter 22, meaning I have about five chapters left to write. I’m pushing to finish all the writing by the end of December. My work schedule will get super hectic in January and February (need to put in extra hours to get the bills paid), so I’d like to be ready for editing by then. That tends to take me less time and energy, plus the sooner I get through writing and editing, the sooner I can start querying and, hopefully, the sooner I can get traditionally published. Then I'll really feel like a real-life mystery writer...

Also, I’m doing a YA seminar with the ever-amazing Ginny Myers Sain next month, so I hope to apply what I learn to editing “Everyone Talks” and making it the best version possible. Once that’s done, I can start focusing on finishing the rewrites of “Queen of the Wood.” Go ahead and read what I've got done so far on my Wattpad account here.

I suppose that’s about it. Working, writing, and desperately searching for more paid work. Blog-wise, I’m hoping to get a few reviews of some Wattys Shortlist 2024 books I read out. I was very happy to see that some of the stories I enjoyed this year made the list, and I definitely want to give them some love.

Till then, happy reading!
